Thomas C. Erwin graduated from Dartmouth College in 1972. Before enrolling at Lewis & Clark Law School/Northwestern University School of Law in Portland, Oregon, he worked jobs as a lumberjack, house painter and construction laborer. After graduating from law school in 1980, Tom returned to New York, where he worked in the New York State Legislature for nine years while starting a private practice devoted to representing injured workers in compensation claims and disabled persons seeking Social Security benefits. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives.
Kevin F. McCane graduated from Albany Law School in 1988 and was admitted to practice in New York in 1989. He taught Workers' Compensation Law in New York for Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations' Albany Extension Office from 1992 to 2002. He currently speaks at workers' compensation law seminars for the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association.
J. Kevin Daly was born in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from Albany Law School in 1988, where he was a member of the Rugby Football Club for three years. He is admitted to practice in New York State and the Northern District of New York for the United States District Court. He has worked in private practice since earning his law degree, first for a law firm concentrating in workers' compensation defense, and then as a founding partner of Welt, Gabriels, Schunk & Daly. Kevin joined Erwin, McCane & Daly in January 2000. He is a member of the Albany County and New York State Bar Associations.
Kim Gould graduated cum laude from Albany Law School. While in law school, she clerked for U.S. Magistrate Judge David R. Homer, working solely on Social Security appeals. Aside from a one-year stint as in-house counsel for Eagle Claims Service in Pennsylvania, Ms. Gould has been an associate with Erwin, McCane & Daly since 1997. She devotes most of her time to writing legal briefs, performing legal research and taking depositions. In addition to New York, Kim is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
John Meyers, a lifetime resident of Troy, New York, went to work for the State Insurance Fund in 1972 and retired in 2000. He spent 20 years as a hearings representative and appeared at innumerable hearings before the Workers' Compensation Board on an almost daily basis. In 2001, he passed the examination given by the New York State Workers' Compensation Board, and has been a licensed claimant's hearing representative since that time. His services to Erwin, McCane & Daly and its clients are in that capacity. John is not an attorney.
